CPR FIRST AID & SAFETY SERVICES (CPRFASS) was established in 1994 as the first and only private training organization, at that time, recognized by Occupational Health and Safety, and by the Attorney General's office of PEI to teach first aid in PEI and is now the only private training company with it's own custom developed first-aid teaching material. It is now also recognized by Health Canada then Labour Canada and now Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC).
Owner Blythe Murray has been teaching first aid since 1979 and has since expanded the company's course offerings to include Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR), Oxygen Administration, Automated External Defibrillation (AED) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS). Each course has required components to be taught, however individual courses can be customized to a groups specific needs while satisfying all course requirements.
Mr. Murray is currently Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) instructor-trainer and Automated External Defibrillation (A.E.D.) instructor-trainer for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of PEI where he previously served as a board member and is past-chair of the Emergency Cardiac Care Committee. In 2004 Mr. Murray was elected as Director-at-Large of the Life Saving Society of Canada.
CPRFASS performs training for groups with various needs and backgrounds. Clients include all types of government and educational institutions, fire departments, construction industry, health care and private business. Special attention is given to each group according to type of work, experience, level of learning ability or any special need.
Mr. Murray travels throughout PEI teaching courses and, because his credentials are recognized throughout Canada, has experience with off-Island companies that cover expenses.
Please note that although there is a required number of persons per course, individuals requiring training may, with the permission of the head of the group, join a session being given to another group. Feel free to ask about being fitted into a course which has already been booked.
Any private or public company, institution or organization is invited to inquire about booking CPRFASS services. |
